About Sean

Sean Perkins is the Founder and CEO of Mobility Labs, where he helps education and social impact organizations develop effective, sustainable technology strategies. He founded Mobility Labs in 2011 to apply comprehensive, user-centered methods from leading industries to solve challenges for social impact organizations.

Sean has guided the company’s growth from web development for small business local to Washington, DC, to major projects with national organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Literacy Design Collaborative, and Laura & John Arnold Foundation. Sean values close collaboration and personalized support to each client, and ensures successful results through user-centered design and agile development. He has built a team of designers, developers, and strategists with expertise in education. As the company grows, Sean looks to maintain the friendly, highly collaborative culture of great coworking spaces like Affinity Labs, where Mobility Labs launched.

Prior to founding the company, Sean worked for 3 years as an engineering consultant in the automotive industry, with clients including GM, Chrysler, and Ford. He has spoken twice at United Nations General Assembly. Through his service in the U.S. Army, he developed leadership skills to grow and support strong teams, as well as his passion for helping others.

Sean splits time between Mobility Labs offices in DC, NYC, and Medellin, Colombia, where he enjoys challenging hikes and the best coffee the world has to offer.
